What Is Kept Out of Sight at Masterson’s Revered Place?

Masterson’s Tavern , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I encountered behind its walls was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The State of Affairs: Filthy and Abandoned
From the moment I entered , it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority at this establishment . The ground was covered in grime , and a pungent odor of stale beer and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of urine , a rotting odor and illness . The main bar, which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The bathroom was in even more deplorable shape — clogged , with a shattered handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

It wasn’t just a single bad experience either. After reading through multiple accounts and chatting with the community, it seems that the standard of sanitation (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a well-known flaw .
